Police investigate armed robbery at Surfers Paradise 12 November

Police are investigating the armed robbery of a convenience store at Surfers Paradise last night.

Around 8.20pm two girls, one armed with a knife, entered the convenience store at the corner of Ferny Avenue and Surfers Paradise Boulevard.

The girls attempted to get behind the counter via a door but the 47-year-old store attendant held it shut.

They then stole some items from the store before running south along Ferny Avenue.

No one was physically injured in the incident.

Investigations are ongoing.
