Police investigate motor cycle crash on Waverley Street at Bellerive

Police are investigating the circumstances of a serious motor cycle crash in Bellerive this evening which resulted in a male person receiving serious injuries.

Around 8.45pm police responded to the crash on Waverley Street at Bellerive.

The pillion passenger of the motorcycle, an 18-year-old man from Bellerive, was transported to the Royal Hobart Hospital in a serious condition.

Waverley Street was partially closed for around two hours. Police are investigating the circumstances of the crash.

Anyone who witnessed the crash or the motorcycle prior to the crash is asked to contact police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers anonymously on 1800 333 000.

Anyone with dash cam or smart phone vision of the crash or the car prior to the crash is asked to upload it direct to investigators via the Axon Community.
