A 29-year-old man will appear before the Alice Springs Local Court charged in relation to an incident in which another man suffered serious facial injuries, earlier this month.
Just after midnight on 6 November, police responded to an aggravated assault incident between two men in the remote community of Titjikala.
It is alleged an argument erupted between the two men and the 29-year-old man physically assaulted the 27-year-old man, resulting in severe facial injuries.
The 27-year-old man was taken to the local clinic, and later transported to the Alice Springs Hospital for treatment.
The 29-year-old man who fled the community following the incident, was arrested by police in Titjikala late yesterday.
He will appear before the Alice Springs Local Court today, charged with the following;
- Intend serious Harm, cause serious harm
- Armed with an offensive weapon ay night
