Woman found with critical head injuries; man arrested - Central Coast

An investigation is underway after a woman was found suffering critical head injuries on the state's central coast last night.

About 9.15pm (Tuesday 23 June 2020), emergency services were called to a home on Sunnyhills Terrace, Berkeley Vale, after calls a 70-year-old woman was found suffering critical head injuries.

On arrival officers found the woman who was then treated before being air-lifted to John Hunter Hospital where she remains in a critical condition.

A 95-year-old man, believed to be her husband, was arrested at the scene and taken to Wyong Police Station where he is assisting police with their inquiries.
