EPA lays charges over dumped skip bin waste

Environment Protection Authority Victoria (EPA) has laid two charges against two individuals under the Environment Protection Act 1970 following a comprehensive investigation into the depositing of industrial waste on a rented property at 62-64 Victa Road, East Bendigo.

The charges allege that one of the persons deposited industrial waste on the premises, Including carpet, scrap metal, gas cylinders, timber, cardboard, 200l drums, green waste, electrical goods, paint tins, furniture, e-waste, tyres, bricks, concrete, fuel tanks and waste oil; and the other permitted the depositing, both criminal offences under section 27A(2)(a) of the Environment Protection Act 1970.
