Pedestrian struck by car in Winthrop

Traffic Enforcement Group officers are investigating a serious crash that occurred in Winthrop yesterday, 18 June 2020.

About 6.20pm, a grey Toyota Kluger was travelling south on Jackson Avenue approaching Whitfield Terrace when the vehicle struck a male pedestrian who was walking south along the footpath on Jackson Ave.

The pedestrian, a man in his 70s received serious injuries and was conveyed by ambulance to Royal Perth Hospital.

The 17-year-old male driver of the Toyota was not injured.

Investigators are urging anyone who saw the crash, has dash-cam or mobile phone vision, or saw the Toyota Kluger travelling in the area prior to the crash to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au.
