Pedestrian struck by car in Winthrop

Traffic Enforcement Group officers are investigating a serious crash that occurred in Winthrop yesterday, 18 June 2020.

About 6.20pm, a grey Toyota Kluger was travelling south on Jackson Avenue approaching Whitfield Terrace when the vehicle struck a male pedestrian who was walking south along the footpath on Jackson Ave.

The pedestrian, a man in his 70s received serious injuries and was conveyed by ambulance to Royal Perth Hospital.

The 17-year-old male driver of the Toyota was not injured.

Investigators are urging anyone who saw the crash, has dash-cam or mobile phone vision, or saw the Toyota Kluger travelling in the area prior to the crash to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report online at
