Police make arrest - Child Abuse offences - Barkly District

Northern Territory Police are investigating after the arrest of a man for possession of child abuse material in Tennant creek last week.

Officers from the Tennant Creek Investigations Unit executed a search warrant on a residential property where it is alleged they uncovered child abuse material on a data storage device.

A 45-year-old man has been charged with seven offences relating to child abuse material, and has been remanded in custody to appear before the Tennant Creek Local Court on September 14, 2020.

Investigations continue.
