The Monash University Master of Law (Juris Doctor) student has ambitions to practice as a Barrister advocating for children and families. Kim hosted a ‘yoga against domestic violence’ charity event to help combat family violence through anti-violence and self-love meditation. Miss Grand Australia national finalists successfully raised $48,860 collectively for UN Women National Committee Australia in their national campaign to put an end to violence against women. MGA were delighted to hand the final cheque to Dr Chantelle Berenger at the sydney based coronation ceremony on Saturday evening.

Australia holds the number one ranking in Miss Grand International history having placed in the top 5 for three of the five years since its inception in 2013, including a controversial win in 2015 with Claire Elizabeth Parker where Anea Garcia of Dominican Republic was dethroned.

MGI was established in 2013 and with over 2.5 million online followers, MGI has rapidly grown to be one of the top 3 beauty pageants in the world alongside Miss Universe and Miss World. MGI aspires to take a stand for the betterment of humanity through their core ‘Stop the War and Violence’ campaign which the Miss Grand Australia national finalists delivered upon through their fundraising efforts for UN Women Australia.

Kim Gundani will now undertake her duties for 12 months and embark on her journey to Miss Grand International as the Australian face of equality, philanthropy and female empowerment.
