Collingwood Leisure Centre access

The public can continue to access facilities at the Collingwood Leisure Centre, including the swimming pools, during standard opening hours.

The Learn to Swim program at the centre has become very popular, resulting in the pool being busier than usual during lesson times. As a result, a Learn to Swim zone has been created between 3.30pm and 6.30pm on school days.

The swimming pools are still open to the public during this time.

A dedicated lane is available for public use, which can be used for exercise, lap swimming and rehabilitation. Space is also available in the pool during these times for general public use and play.

Learn to Swim delivered by Yarra Leisure (part of Yarra City Council) is an important program that teaches people of all ages and abilities swimming and water safety skills. More than 700 classes across the 3 Yarra Leisure centres will be delivered in 2020, improving the swimming ability and confidence of more than 3000 students.
