Couple rescued from burning house - Killarney Heights

A man and woman have been rescued from a balcony of their burning home in Sydney's northern beaches.

About 8.20pm (Wednesday 10 June 2020), emergency services were called to Dublin Avenue, Killarney Heights, in relation to a double storey house well alight.

Neighbours were able to rescue the occupants of the house from the upper level balcony after they became trapped.

The couple, aged 89 and 84, were taken to Royal North Shore Hospital, and one of the neighbours, a 45-year-old man was taken to Northern Beaches Hospital. They were suffering smoke inhalation and minor injuries.

The fire was extinguished by Fire & Rescue NSW and does not appear to be suspicious.

The house was completely destroyed.
