Driver dies in single-vehicle crash at Murwillumbah

A man has died following a crash in the state's north coast overnight.

Emergency services were called to Ewing Street, Murwillumbah, just after 8pm (Monday 23 June 2020), after reports a car had crashed into a guard rail and then into the front porch of a house.

Officers from Tweed/Byron Police District attended along with NSW Ambulance paramedics who commenced CPR; however, the 59-year-old driver – and sole-occupant - was unable to be revived.

No one else was injured and there was minor damage to the house.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
