Police charge man after threats - Greystanes

A man has been charged over alleged threats in Sydney's west early this morning.

About 3.30am (Saturday 13 June 2020), NSW Ambulance paramedics attended a home on Canal Road, Greystanes, to assist a man.

While transporting him to hospital, the man is alleged to have become aggressive and threatened the two female paramedics. They pulled over on Beechwood Road and called for assistance while seeking refuge in a nearby house.

Officers from Cumberland Police Area Command attended and commenced an investigation.

Following inquiries, police arrested a 20-year-old man at a hospital on Hawkesbury Road, Westmead, about 10am today.

He was taken to Granville Police Station and charged with two counts of intimidate, obstruct etc person in exercise of functions.

The man was granted conditional bail to appear at Fairfield Local Court on Wednesday 24 June 2020.
