CODE Souvenir Geelong to showcase local makers

Local designers, creatives and producers are invited to submit their products to be considered for the City’s curated business events, tourism, retail and corporate gifts registry – CODE Souvenir Geelong.

CODE Souvenir Geelong is an initiative celebrating the City’s UNESCO City of Design designation that aims to highlight local design talent and boost economic opportunities for the creative sector.

Submissions to the catalogue must include existing, high quality products that have been developed and crafted by makers in the G21 region.

Successful applicants will be provided with a platform, through CODE Souvenir Geelong, to showcase their products to companies, visitors, special guests, dignitaries, and local residents to purchase as keepsakes of the region.

Product categories range from home, living and décor through to products for children as well as food and wine.

City of Greater Geelong Mayor Stephanie Asher

This is a great opportunity to shine a spotlight on the breadth of creative talent that exists right here in Geelong.

CODE Souvenir Geelong is an exciting initiative to give local makers and producers the chance to put their product forward as an example of the many great things designed here in Geelong.

It will not only reaffirm the City of Greater Geelong’s status as Australia’s only designated UNESCO City of Design, but importantly, will provide another avenue to assist creative industries as we recover from the COVID-19 pandemic. I encourage all local designers, creatives and producers that meet the criteria to get involved.

CODE is an original concept developed by Raban Ruddigkeit from the Berlin agency ®Ruddigkeit Corporate Ideas. The acronym stands for City of Design and is a concept replicated in Montreal, Canada and Dundee, Scotland – both fellow UNESCO Cities of Design.
