Driver detected travelling nearly twice marked speed limit - Old Guildford

A man has lost his license for six months after being caught travelling nearly twice the marked speed limit in Sydney's west yesterday.

About 11pm (Friday 13 June 2020), officers attached to the Traffic and Highway Patrol Command were patrolling on Woodville Road, Old Guildford, when a Toyota Corolla was detected allegedly travelling 131km/h in a signposted 70km/h zone.

The vehicle was stopped and officers spoke to the 25-year-old male driver.

He was issued a penalty notice for exceed speed limit – over 45km/h and his licence was suspended for six months.
