Large-format, fascinating images from basic research will be presented by Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) from July 16 to August 10, 2022, in this year's EFFEKTE series at Karlsruhe's Kronenplatz. A supplementary program with experiments, panel discussions, and lectures will accompany the exhibition. The media are invited to the vernissage on July 16 at TRIANGEL Open Space. KIT is also involved in several "Science Tuesdays" as part of the EFFEKTE series.
Understanding the world, that is the goal of basic research worldwide. Researchers penetrate into the smallest and largest dimensions, from the tiniest particles to the boundaries of the universe. An exhibition of the European research center CERN presented by KIT with the support of the city of Karlsruhe shows the fascination of this research. Large photo panels tell stories about efforts to understand the universe and show how these have led to a number of new scientific breakthroughs and technological achievements.
The KIT Center for Elementary Particle and Astroparticle Physics (KCETA) has brought the exhibition to Karlsruhe.
